     Mamonas Assassinas was a rock band. They made a gret success in 1995 among children, adolescents and adults. With a unique and contagious humor that conquered Brazil.      They became a phenomenon in less than a year -although it seems much more between Otober 1995 abd March 1996, when the crash happened.     The band was formed by Dinho(vocals) he war the funniest, Samuel Reoli(Samuel Reis de Oliveira), Julio Rasec(Julio Cesar Barbosa), Sergio Reoli(Sergio Reis de Oliveira) and Bento Hinoto, a Japanese who appeared wearing a rasta wig, was responsible for the mix of musical styles the band. All born in Guarulhos , except Dinho, Bahia, Irecê. Julio Rasec, the artistic name, was actually gis midde name, Cesar, spelled backards- was known by the performance of Maria, the music "Vira-Vira". The Reoli brothers, Samuel and Sergio, used a corruption of the true family name, Reis de Oliveira as a stage name.     Dinho started out in a band called Utopia, specializing in covers of gtoups. The singer was built in the middle of a show, and since then started to present Utopia on the outskirts of São Paulo. Gradually, the members began to realize that the antics and lytics that made fun of friends and relatives were better received by the public than the covers. They decided to change the profile of the band in April 28, 1995, consolidating a partnership that yielded a million copies sold in less than one year a carrer. Soon the band was doing five shows a weekand enticing children and teenage fans, who loved the lyrics and performance irreverent , funy. They were a successul gorups, they are remembered even nowadays.     The deat of Mamonas in 1996, shocked Brazil. The musicans were, returning from a concert in Brasilia, When the plane smashed against the Serra da Cantareira in São Paulo.      I don't know the group, but I like them anyway.
